Services
We provide fencing installation, repair, and related services including garden fencing, closeboard and feather edge timber fencing, composite panels, wooden gates, and commercial and security perimeter fencing across Nottingham and surrounding areas. The exact scope of work is stated in each written quote.
Quotes and estimates
- Quotes are based on information you provide (postcode, approximate length, photos, access) and any site assessment we carry out
- A written quote states materials, scope, whether old fencing removal is included, and estimated duration where known
- Quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote, or 30 days if no period is specified
- Verbal estimates are indicative only until confirmed in writing
- We reserve the right to revise a quote if site conditions differ materially from those described (for example hidden rot, sloping ground, or restricted access not disclosed)
Acceptance and booking
Work is booked when you accept a written quote and any deposit or scheduling terms agreed in writing. Acceptance may be by email, signed quote, or explicit confirmation by phone followed by written confirmation from us.
Pricing and payment
Prices are in GBP unless stated otherwise. Payment terms are set out on your quote or invoice. We may require a deposit before ordering materials for larger installations. Late payment may delay further work or incur reasonable recovery costs as permitted by law.
Customer responsibilities
- Provide accurate property details, access information, and boundary information
- Obtain any necessary neighbour or landlord agreement for work on shared boundaries
- Ensure planning compliance where required — fence height limits (commonly up to 2 metres to the rear and lower limits to the front in many locations) are the property owner's responsibility unless we have agreed to advise as part of the quote
- Keep pets and children clear of work areas during installation or repair
- Notify us of underground services, irrigation, or hazards before post digging
Materials and workmanship
We use materials specified in the quote. Timber is typically pressure-treated where stated. Manufacturer warranties on composite or metal systems pass through where applicable. We will remedy defects in our workmanship reported within a reasonable period after completion, subject to fair wear, weather, and customer-caused damage.
Cancellation and rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule, contact us as soon as possible. Deposits for materials already ordered may be non-refundable. If we cancel due to circumstances beyond our control, any prepaid amounts for undelivered work will be refunded.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under English law. Subject to that, our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for the relevant work. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (for example loss of profit) except where required by law.
